ABOUT ABOUT

Heather Barron's debut solo album, "Human Confessions" releases June 2016.

Hear her sing, Sunrise Kingdom.

As a woman of transgender experience, her songs are informed by a complex mixture of hope and sorrow, gratitude with anger that informs both the trans and human experience. Both insightful and soulful, she sings of stories that reflect on life and try to bridge the divide between people.

She says, I’ve always felt that the differences between us are so small compared to the things that unite us.  I want my music to remind people that our humanity is their humanity as well. I want to have that simple conversation with people that shows them we’re no different than they are.

Heather heard her first piano at age four the day she started kindergarten and she was instantly hooked. Joining the school choir at age five, she began a lifelong love affair with piano and singing that continues to this day.

After school she played in a number of local bands and cut her teeth in the Bay Area club scene in bands such as Lexxy, DeLeon and Animation.
